Pixel Co2 Laser

Pixel-CO2 NVThe Pixel CO2 laser by Alma Lasers is helping to shape the future of skin resurfacing. It is a fractional CO2 laser system that uses innovative micro-channel stamping technology to resurface the skin.  The Pixel CO2 laser has multiple handpieces that treat a variety of skin conditions such as fine lines, wrinkles, large pores, acne scars, stretch marks, and photo-damaged skin.

The Pixel CO2 improves the tone and texture of the skin with very little downtime, and fast healing. After treatment, the skin is smoother, healthier, and younger-looking.

What is Skin Resurfacing?

Skin resurfacing is a treatment that uses laser energy to treat skin irregularities, tighten the skin, and improve texture. Fractional lasers like the Pixel CO2 emit light energy that penetrates deep into the dermis. The laser vaporizes specific zones of the skin, leaving the surrounding areas intact. The subsequent healing process stimulates collagen, resulting in tighter skin as well as fewer wrinkles and blemishes.

Who is a Good Candidate For Skin Resurfacing?

Wrinkles, loss of skin elasticity, larger pores or orange peel type skin and uneven pigmentation due to sun damage are usually good candidates for skin resurfacing.

Is it Painful?

Skin resurfacing with the Pixel CO2 is not usually painful. Patients are given a topical anesthetic cream before treatment, and this is normally very helpful in reducing any discomfort.

Showing up to your appointment on time is helpful in your numbing process. Along with topical anesthetics, Cryotherapy is used for brief, fast and intensive cooling of the skin which provides effective pain and swelling reduction. We will do our best to make you as comfortable as possible during your appointment.

How Many Treatments do You Need?

A course of 1-4 treatments is usually recommended.  Please consult with our staff for a continued skin care regiment, in order to get the best results from your CO2 treatment.

What Can You Expect After Treatment?

After treatment patients may experience moderate swelling and redness for a few days.  Recovery after the Pixel CO2 treatment takes about 5-7 days. Initial results will be seen after 7 days and improvements will continue over the following 4-6 weeks.
